Is it possible to start process of h1 transfer with two companies? I have started process with company A and now i have got company B who want to hire me and they want to do H1 transfer. Please let me know.

Is there a time limit within which one has to enter US after he/she gets a tourist visa (B2)

Depends on the validity of the VISA. For example, if a person has 10 year multi entry (M) VISA, that person can enter whenever he/she wants.
For limited time frame, say 6 months validity, there should be a validity on the VISA itself, person needs to enter in that particular time frame.

Domicile Certificate i.e. Certificate of nationality shows the date of birth.Can this be used instead of Birth Certificate?

Guys ,
Here is my situation. greatly aprecite if you could give some suggestions.
I am presently on Non-cap H1b(which is not counted under cap). I am planning to file for H1b thru an employer in april under MS quota with a start date of octber 2008.
My concerns are...
1. How should the new employer file H1b so that I can join at my wish after oct 2008...??
2. My present H1b is valid untill 2010. SHould I be in US while filing and untill my new H1b is approved..??? I ahve plans of visisitng india in March/aprial. So wondering If i need to visit and be back before april or is it ok to travel while my new H1b is filed using the presnet i-94..?? that is trvelling sometime In april/May..???

Hello All,
I just looked thru couple pages on this forum to see if there is already a thread on this question but didn't quite get to see it.
I got into the I-485 queue during July-07 VB fiasco. My applications reached USCIS before the Aug-07 fee revision, so I paid fees according to the old schedule.
However, I did apply for extension last year in March-2009 and paid the new fee ($305), got the documents and even travelled last year and came back into US using the AP.
Now it's time for renewal again, and I'm wondering if I'll have to pay the fee perennially annually?

P.S: In the I-131 instructions, on page 8, there is a note regarding fee which talks about no fee if I-485 was filed after July 31, 2007. Mine was filed after July 31st, but with the old fee structure.

This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.�
I'm no more working for this employer and I�ve changed to a new employer a year ago. What does this status mean?Any ideas?
Does this cause any problem to my current GC process which was sponsored by current employer?

The President has started revealing his plans on immigration for the next year. It sounds like he's planning on trying a do-over with Congress and attempting again to get a comprehensive immigration bill passed. He'll make the case for this in his State of the Union Address. I'm happy the President is still interested in working for change, I sincerely hope he is not making passing a reform bill his SOLE strategy. I'm reminded of Presidents in the past who regularly spoke in favor of something, but you just knew they didn't really care and were just trying to appease...

I am a strong supporter of Comprehensive Immigraton Reform (CIR). I have been on both sides of the fence. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, I was an attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. I spent a couple of years representing the government in deportation proceedings, often conducted in Federal prisons. Are there people in the U.S. who should be deported? Absolutely! Hi,
My H1 was denied the last cycle. The denial decision was posted on Nov 24th. My application was in RFE state for quite some time, hence the delay. The question that I have is, as the denial came very late, will I be able to apply for an H1B this year. We generally file all our documents on 3.31, I am wondering if I would not be eligible this year because 3.31 is not 6 months from 11.24. There is an rule that I cannot apply if there has been a denial in the recent 6 months. Please let me know if that is the case. Will I be ineligible for this year (3.2010).
I am currently in my 4th year on a L1.
