While filing I-485 do I have to choose which I-140 and PD to be used. Need your advise which one should I use,
1. I-140 approved with details as: PERM LC (EB3, PD Dec 2006).
2. I-140 pending (just filed) with details regular LC (EB3, PD Nov 2004).
Choices are:
A. Just file 485 with 140 with earlier PD(option2 ), and let both 140 and 485 continue.
B. File 485 with approved 140
C. Convert pending 140 into premium, and file 485. Is the extra $1000 justified for this?
Thanks in advance.

Wow, I almost fell out of my chair when readers posted this news item in the comments: Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, pondering a future in politics, is trying to wipe away his image as an enemy of Latino immigrants by positioning himself as a champion of that fast-growing ethnic bloc.that was fast. *** Mr. Dobbs told Spanish-language network Telemundo he now supports a plan to legalize millions of undocumented workers, a stance he long lambasted as an unfair "amnesty." "Whatever you have thought of me in the past, I can tell you right now that I am one of...

Problems with the green-card program have prompted informal discussions in Congress about a law to offer more visas to highly skilled applicants

Immigration activists say they are hopeful that Gov. Deval L. Patrick will support proposals in an advisory report calling for more English classes for the states immigrants and in-state tuition for undocumented college students. Patrick released the report containing 131 recommendations, which he called a values statement, at a luncheon for immigrant advocates.
Since July 2008, resident immigrants and activists have crowded meetings around the state pressing for those programs and others, including allowing immigrants to get state drivers licenses.

Hi
I am currently working on my H1 for comapany A. They have filed my Labor on Dec-06 in EB-3. I have an approved I-140 and I-485 is currently pending.
I have got an offer from company B. They want me to switch on EAD and they said they will also file my H1 and i can then move back on H1.
My question is if i switch the company on EAD, can i switch back to H1B in new (Company C) or same company (Company B) and if so can i then swtich to EB-2 by filing new Labor and 140 using the same priority date.

For what it's worth, I was a Nikon pro card carrier back in the '70's. It was a FABULOUS service. I was allowed to borrow expensive gear for free that I would never have used otherwise (e.g. radio-remote release, medical telephoto with built-in ring flash, nikonos)
And the "go the head of the line" repair service saved me more than once. While I was vacationing in California I needed some urgent repairs and was told by the local main Nikon repair shop that their backlog even for "urgent" repairs was 3 months. I flashed my pro card and it was in the repair shop by 10:00 and out by noon!
